The Pull of the Moon emerges in one short week!
I’m all aflutter. In between mega-dosing myself with Emergen-C to fight a cold, writing grant applications and dressing up in Old Hollywood glam to celebrate my sister’s 40th, I’m getting pretty excited for the big day: Sunday, September 28th, at Munro’s Books. Doors open at 7 p.m. Everyone welcome!
Two generous and lovely reviews have come in thus far, even before the book hits the shelves on September 30th. Wowzers.
And this contest was just announced: The Victoria Writers Festival wants your book club to enter to win a set of my books and a visit from yours truly. Sounds like a lot of fun to me.
Speaking of fun, I had a lot of it while putting together a soundtrack to my collection. The fine folks at Little Fiction are hosting my selections, under their Mix Tape section. If you haven’t checked out their online magazine filled with amazing stories and essays, I highly recommend it. (This image taken from their website; click on links above to go to playlist and more).
It’s always hard for me to say goodbye to summer, my favourite season (so dark, so early! no more swimming in lakes for months! *crying*), but the season ahead looks like it’ll be filled with bounty (and some amazing local apples). So, so grateful.
